Community and Business Education

Ipswich Water is strongly committed to positive environmental practices and water conservation. At the heart of the drought, climate change, and the need for a sustainable lifestyle lay messages of conservation.

Our conservation communications initiative is about changing business, industry and community attitudes about the way we all relate to water in our daily lives. This initiative is aimed at educating water users about the importance of sustainable lifestyles and business practice.

  • Water Conservation Rebate Scheme
We have experienced a very successful take up of our rebate scheme aimed at making water efficiency affordable for our residents. The rebates scheme encourages the installation of water conservation devices.
  • Water conservation communications
Ipswich Water continually releases innovative, interesting and important information aimed at water conservation for residents, business and industry, and within Ipswich City Council itself.
  • Commitment to upholding regulations
Our professional water patrols and enforcement officers inspect and control illegal water usage.
  • Ipswich Water Education Program
We are presently in the process of working with the Queensland Water Commission and Education Queensland in developing a new education program to roll-out in our local schools.
  • Public displays and forums
We are developing closer relationships with our community to discuss water conservation and solutions for everyone. Click here to see some of our recent appearances.
