We are committed to delivering the highest quality water and wastewater services by continuously improving our environmental performance and by addressing the expectations of our customers, the community and government.

Our commitment is reinforced by the following actions:

  • strict compliance with existing environmental laws;
  • ensuring our valued staff and suppliers adhere to our Environmental Policy;
  • undertaking environmental assessments during planning of new projects;
  • applying practices and setting objectives that lead to continuous improvement in our environmental performance;
  • responsible risk management planning to ensure there is a rapid response to the unlikely event of an environmental incident;
  • broad consultation to determine customer, community and government needs and expectations;
  • publicising our policy, targets and performance;
  • ducating customers and community on water conservation, water recycling and the responsible use of the wastewater system;
  • maintaining a system for monitoring and reporting all environmentally relevant activities;
  • protecting our wastewater systems through source control;
  • partnering with government, industry and community in the "Healthy Waterways" initiative aimed at improving the health, wealth and beauty of our waterways and catchments in South East Queensland;
  • applying best practice environmental management principles; and
  • striving to be a community leader in environmental management.
