Councils affected by these restrictions include Ipswich City Council, Beaudesert Shire, Brisbane City, Caboolture Shire, Shire of Esk, Gatton Shire, Gold Coast City, Kilcoy Shire, Laidley Shire, Logan City, Pine Rivers Shire and Redcliffe City. The integrated plan involves a set of water efficiency measures for residents, business, industry and Government to help our region beat this drought and create long-term savings. Recent changes to the Water Act 2000 may also attract hefty penalties for non-compliance with WEMP requirements. FundingThere are a number of funding and assistance programs available to business, industry and community to bring greater water efficiency to their activities. Some of these programs can be engaged to assist non-residential water users in meeting their various requirements of water restrictions.
