Conserving Water

Water conservation has always been an important environmental issue within society, however recent events have shed light on just how vital water is to our daily lives and the future of our children.

Australia is the driest continent on earth and it is now widely recognised that the effects of climate change are a reality. It is predicted that our nation will only become drier and hotter, meaning longer and more intense periods of drought placing great strain on our existing water resources and the way we use and think about water in general.

We also have a booming population, with Ipswich being identified as the ninth fastest growing city in Australia, and the fastest growing region in South East Queensland.

In order to preserve our way of life and ensure precious water resources for generations to come, it is up to us to make conserving water part of our daily lives.

Avoid using water where possible

Reduce water consumption by being more water efficient

Reuse water where appropriate (i.e. greywater)

Recycle - use recycled water where it is ‘fit for purpose'
