Water Conservation Rebate Scheme

The Rebate Scheme (Water Conservation Rebate Scheme) is an integral part of Ipswich City Council's water conservation initiatives.

It offers generous rebates to eligible Ipswich City residents to bring greater water efficiency to their homes.

By being water wise in your home, you help to save our precious water and the environment, as well as money on your water and electricity bills.

The Rebate Scheme applies to all residential properties in the Ipswich City Council area.

What rebates are available?

Rebates for the following water efficient devices are available if they are replacing existing fixtures:

Water efficient shower rose

(WELS 3 star rated or better)

50% of purchase price up to $30

All rebates apply to the purchase price only. Any other costs associated with the installation of the water conservation devices are not covered by the Rebate Scheme.

When can I make my rebate application?

Rebate applications will only be accepted once the water conservation device has been installed on the premises.

How to claim a rebate

Download the Water Conservation Rebate Scheme Application Pack from our Forms and Applications Page. Alternatively, request a pack to be sent to you by calling (07) 3810 7855.

You can claim your rebate in these easy steps:

REVIEW	Review the list of eligible products.
EXAMINE	Examine the Eligibility Information (contained in the Water Conservation Rebate Scheme Application Pack) to ensure you make a valid application.
INSTALL	Install the water conservation device. For installation of dual flush toilets, please contact your local plumber.
COMPLETE	Complete the Water Conservation Rebate Scheme Application Form.
DELIVER	Deliver your completed application and original receipts to any Council Customer Service Centre or post to Ipswich Water at PO Box 191, Ipswich QLD 4305.
PROCESSING TIME	Please allow approximately six to eight weeks for processing of your rebate application and payment of your rebate.

Ipswich Water reserves the right, at its sole discretion and at any time, to change any or all of the Eligibility Guidelines or terminate the Water Conservation Rebate Scheme. Applications must be received by Ipswich Water prior to any published termination date for the Water Conservation Rebate Scheme. Council reserves the right to add or remove water conservation devices throughout the life of the Rebate Scheme.
